CiterootBot fetches pages only when someone asks it to — through the free tools or a verified Site Audit.
Our user agent string is CiterootBot/1.0 (+https://citeroot.app/bot).
What it does
- Requests
/robots.txtand, for page audits, a single URL a person submitted. - Follows at most four redirects, reads at most 1.5 MB per page and times out after nine seconds.
- Only connects to public web addresses on standard ports (80 and 443).
- Never submits forms, logs in or executes JavaScript.
How to block it
Add this to your robots.txt. Site Audit for your own verified domains will then report that it was blocked.
