How often does Citeroot collect?
Each answer is a real, paid call to an AI engine with web search switched on, so every plan has a monthly answer allowance. Citeroot divides that allowance by the size of your panel (prompts × engines) and picks the most frequent schedule that fits.

How does the free trial work?
You get 14 days of Trail or Summit, starting when you sign up for it. No credit card is needed to start. During the trial you have that plan's limits, including its monthly answer allowance.
What happens when my trial ends?
Your account drops to the free Scout plan. Nothing is deleted and nothing is charged. Projects, prompts and collected answers stay; prompts beyond Scout's limit of 10 are paused rather than removed. You can subscribe whenever you like.
Can I subscribe during the trial?
Yes. Subscribe through Stripe Checkout and the days left on your trial are honoured before the first charge.
Can I cancel?
Any time, in the Stripe customer portal, which you reach from Billing in the app. Access continues until the end of the period you have paid for, and then the account moves to Scout.
What counts as an answer?
One prompt asked of one engine once. Ten prompts on two engines is twenty answers per run. Answers that fail (a provider error, for example) are not counted against your allowance. The allowance resets on the first of each month.
What happens if I use up my monthly answers?
New runs wait until the allowance resets on the first of the month, or until you move to a bigger plan. You can still read everything you have already collected.
How often do automatic runs happen?
Citeroot derives the cadence from your allowance and panel size: the monthly allowance divided by prompts × engines gives the number of full runs you can afford, and the schedule is daily, every two or three days, or weekly accordingly. The table on this page shows examples.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, in the Stripe customer portal. Stripe shows the price and any proration before you confirm. Prompts over a lower plan's limit are paused, never deleted.
Are the AI provider costs included?
Yes. Collecting answers from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity is covered by your plan's answer allowance. Bringing your own provider keys is not supported.
Do you offer discounts for agencies, non-profits or students?
There is no formal programme yet. If cost is the blocker, tell us what you need through the contact form and we will see what we can do.
How does annual billing work?
Paying annually lowers the monthly rate and is billed once a year. Refunds follow the refund policy. Prices are in USD, excluding taxes.
