Trial, plans and billing
How the 14-day trial works, what happens when it ends, and how to subscribe, change plan or cancel.
#Plans
See pricing for the current plans and limits: Scout (free), Trail, Summit and Expedition (by arrangement). Limits are enforced by the app, not just described: projects, active prompts, engines, collected answers per month, audit pages, briefs and insights.
#The 14-day trial
- Choose Trail or Summit when you sign up (or start the trial from Plan & billing if you began on Scout). No card is needed.
- You get that plan's full limits for 14 days. The banner at the top of the app shows the days left.
- You can use the trial once per account.
#When the trial ends
Your account moves to the free Scout plan automatically. Nothing is charged and nothing is deleted. Your projects, prompts and collected answers remain readable. Limits drop to Scout's: extra prompts are paused (not removed), you can run one engine, and automatic runs slow to about weekly. We email you a few days before and when the trial ends.
#Subscribing
Open Plan & billing, choose Trail or Summit, monthly or annual, and pay through Stripe Checkout. If you subscribe during a trial with at least two days left, the remaining trial days are honoured: your card is saved now and the first charge happens when the trial would have ended. With less than two days left, the first charge is immediate.
Prices are in USD and exclude taxes.
#Changing plan or cancelling
Use Manage billing, which opens the Stripe customer portal: update your card, download invoices, switch plan or cancel. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for; you keep the plan until then. A failed payment keeps your access while Stripe retries, with a warning in the app.
See the cancellation policy and refund policy.
#Downgrades
If a lower plan allows fewer active prompts than you have, the extra ones are paused. They aren't deleted; resume them after you upgrade or pause others.
#The monthly answer allowance
Each plan includes a number of collected answers per month. See Runs and allowance.
